Organisation profile & logo
Change your organisation's name in Arabic and English, and upload its logo, from Settings → General.
Your organisation's name and logo are the face of your charity inside WAQAF. They appear at the top of the sidebar, follow you as you move between sections, and show up on the documents you print — receipts, vouchers and reports. You'll usually set them once when you first create the organisation, then come back to tidy them up: correct a spelling, add an English name, or replace a logo with a cleaner version. This page walks through both, from Settings → General.
Who can do this. You need to be an Owner or Org Admin of the organisation. Editing the name and logo writes to the organisation's own record, which only those two roles may change. If you open the page and saving has no effect — or you don't have access to settings at all — your role doesn't allow it; see Members & roles.
Where to find it. Settings → General — the first card on the page is the logo, the second is the name.
Changing the name
WAQAF keeps two names for your organisation, because the dashboard and your public site are bilingual:
- Name — your organisation's main name. For most Omani charities this is the Arabic name, and it's the one shown by default. It must be at least three characters.
- English name (optional) — a separate English display name. It's shown in the browser tab and on your public site when the visitor's language is English. Leave it blank if you don't have one, and the main name is used everywhere.
Open Settings → General
From the sidebar, go to Settings, then General. The Organisation name card sits just below the logo.
Edit the main name
In the Name field, type your organisation's name. This is typically the Arabic name and the one shown across the dashboard. It can't be shorter than three characters.
Add or edit the English name (optional)
In the English name (optional) field, type your English display name. The field reads left-to-right, so English text sits the right way round. To remove an English name you'd set before, simply clear the field and save — it falls back to the main name.
Save
Click Save. The button stays greyed out until you've actually changed something and the name is valid, so if it won't light up, check the Name field has at least three characters. A confirmation appears once it's saved, and the new name shows immediately at the top of the sidebar.
The two names are not a translation pair that WAQAF fills in for you — you type each one. Set the English name only if your charity actually uses an English name; otherwise leave it blank rather than transliterating the Arabic.
Uploading the logo
The logo is the small round mark at the top of the sidebar, and it's also printed on your official documents. A clear, square image works best.
Open Settings → General
The Organisation logo card is at the very top of the page, showing the current logo (or your organisation's initials if none is set yet) inside a round frame.
Choose an image
Click the round logo area and pick an image file, or drag one onto it. WAQAF accepts PNG and JPG images. (If you choose anything else, it simply won't be picked up.)
Crop it
A cropping window opens so you can frame the part of the image you want to keep. Adjust the crop, then confirm. WAQAF uploads the cropped picture for you — a small spinner shows over the logo while it works.
Done
When the upload finishes, a confirmation appears and the new logo replaces the old one at the top of the sidebar. There's no separate Save button for the logo — confirming the crop saves it.
The logo and name appear on the documents your charity issues — printed receipts, payment vouchers and reports. Replacing the logo or renaming the organisation changes what's printed on documents you generate from that point on; documents you've already saved or printed keep the version they were made with. Make sure the logo you upload is the one you're happy to see on a donor's receipt. See Your letterhead & document profile for the full set of details that print on your documents.
