The site footer
Configure your public site footer — link sections, contact details, social links, payment and certification badges, and the WhatsApp number.
The footer is the band that sits at the bottom of every page on your public site. It is where visitors look for your contact details, the quick links you want them to find, the ways they can pay, and the badges that show your organisation is trusted and certified. You configure all of it in one place, and everything you enter is bilingual — you fill in the English and the Arabic, and your site shows the right one to each visitor.
You'll usually set the footer up once when you first build your site, then return to it whenever a phone number changes, you add a new social account, or you earn a new certification.
Who can do this. You need a site role that grants update — typically the Site Manager (the Site Editor role also works). If you don't see the edit fields, or everything looks read-only, your role doesn't allow it; see Members & roles.
Where to find it. Website → Settings → Footer.
The Footer page is organised into separate cards — Brand, Contact, Social links, Link sections, Payment methods, App badges and Certification badges. Each card saves on its own, with its own Save button. Changing something in one card and saving it does not touch the others, so you can work through them one at a time.
Brand and the "secured by" badge
Open the Footer page
Go to Website in the dashboard, open Settings, and choose the Footer tab.
Write your tagline in both languages
In the Brand card, fill in Tagline (English) and Tagline (Arabic). This is the short line of text that appears near your logo in the footer — a sentence that sums up what your organisation does. The Arabic field reads right-to-left as you type, which is normal.
Choose whether to show the "secured by" badge
Turn the Show "secured by" badge switch on if you'd like a reassurance badge to appear in the footer, telling donors their payments are handled securely. Leave it off to hide it.
Save
Select Save at the bottom of the Brand card. You'll see a Footer updated confirmation.
Contact details and the WhatsApp number
The Contact card holds the ways visitors can reach you, plus the number behind your WhatsApp button.
Fill in your contact details
Enter your Phone, Email, and your Address in both English and Arabic. Any field you leave blank simply won't appear in the footer.
Set the WhatsApp number
Enter your number in the WhatsApp number field. This is the number that powers the WhatsApp call-to-action — the chat button visitors tap to message you directly.
The WhatsApp number lives here, in the Contact card — not with the other social links below. You only enter it once.
Save
Select Save at the bottom of the Contact card.
Social links
The Social links card lets you add your profiles on Facebook, Instagram, X, YouTube, TikTok, LinkedIn, Snapchat and Telegram. Each one that you fill in shows up as an icon in the footer; the ones you leave blank don't appear.
Paste each profile's full address
For each network you use, paste the full web address of your profile (it should start with https://). Leave the rest blank.
Save
Select Save at the bottom of the Social links card.
WhatsApp isn't in this card on purpose — its number is set once in the Contact card above.
Link sections
Link sections are the columns of links you see in most footers — a heading like "About us" or "Get involved", with a short list of pages beneath it. You can add as many sections as you need, and each one holds its own list of links.
Add a section
In the Link sections card, select Add section. A new block appears with a Heading (English) and Heading (Arabic) field. Type the column title in both languages, then select Save on that section's row.
Add links to the section
With the section saved, select Add link. A new link row appears. Fill in:
- Label (English) and Label (Arabic) — the wording visitors see.
- URL or path — where the link goes. Use a path like
/aboutfor a page on your own site, or a fullhttps://…address for an external site.
Show or hide a link
Each link row has a visibility switch. Turn it off to keep a link saved but hidden from the live footer — handy for a page you're still preparing. Turn it back on when you're ready to show it.
Save each link, and each section
Links and sections save individually — use the Save button on the specific link row or section heading you changed. The trash icon on a row removes that single link; the trash icon on a section heading removes the whole section and all its links.
Deleting a section removes all of its links along with it, and you'll be asked to confirm first. There's no undo, so make sure you've moved any links you want to keep before you delete a section.
Payment methods
This card controls the payment logos shown in your footer, reassuring donors which methods you accept.
Tick the methods you accept
Tick the box next to each method your site supports — Thawani, Visa, Mastercard and Apple Pay. Each one you tick shows its standard logo in the footer.
(Optional) Use your own icon for a method
When you tick a method, an upload box appears beneath it. You can upload your own version of that logo here if you prefer it to the default. Leaving it empty uses the standard logo — which is what most organisations do.
(Optional) Add a custom payment badge
Under Custom payment badges you can add a badge that isn't one of the four built-in methods — for example a local bank or wallet logo. Select Add badge, upload its image, and give it a Badge name. A custom badge only appears once it has both an uploaded image and a name; badges missing either are dropped when you save.
Save
Select Save at the bottom of the Payment methods card.
This card is about which logos are displayed in the footer. It does not turn payment processing on or off — that's done under Payment methods, where you connect the gateway that actually takes donations.
App badges
If your organisation has a mobile app, you can add "Get it on Google Play" and "Download on the App Store" badges to the footer.
Paste your store links
In the App badges card, paste your Google Play URL and your App Store URL. Leave either blank if you don't have that app, and only the badge you filled in will appear.
Save
Select Save at the bottom of the App badges card.
Certification badges
Certification badges let you show licences, registrations or trust marks — for example your charity registration certificate or an accreditation logo.
Add a certification
In the Certification badges card, select Add certification. A new block appears.
Upload the badge and describe it
Upload the certificate or logo image, then fill in:
- Caption (English) and Caption (Arabic) — a short description of what the badge represents.
- Link (optional) — a web address visitors can open to verify the certification. Leave it blank to show the badge without a link.
Save
Select Save at the bottom of the Certification badges card. Use the trash icon on a badge to remove it.
Remember that the cards save separately. If you edit two cards but only press Save on one, the other card's changes won't be kept. Save each card you've changed before you leave the page, then open your live site to check the footer looks the way you expect.
