Your current plan
See which plan your organisation is on, its subscription status and price, and how to open the billing portal — all from Settings → Billing.
The Billing settings page is where you check what your organisation is subscribed to: the name of your current plan, whether the subscription is active, what it costs, and what features it includes. You'd come here to confirm your organisation is on the right plan before renewal, to check the status after a payment, or to open the billing portal to manage payment details. This page only shows and manages your subscription — it doesn't touch any of your finance records, donations, or ledger.
Who can do this. Billing is an organisation-level setting, so you need to be an
owner or admin of the organisation. Those are the org-level roles that carry the
billing permission; the finance roles (Accountant, Finance Manager) and other module
roles don't open this page. If you don't see Billing in the organisation settings
menu, your role doesn't include it — see Members & roles.
Where to find it. Open Settings → Billing for your organisation. The menu item appears under the organisation's own settings (alongside General and Members), not under your personal Account settings. The page is titled Billing.
Read your current plan
The top card on the page is headed Your plan. It pulls together everything about the subscription your organisation holds right now.
Find the Your plan card
At the top of the Billing page, the Your plan card shows the name of your current plan in bold, with a tick icon beside it. If your organisation has no active subscription, this card doesn't appear at all — you'll only see the Change your plan section below it, which is where you'd pick a plan to start with.
Check the status badge
Next to the plan name sits a small coloured status badge describing where the subscription stands:
- Active (green) — the subscription is live and paid.
- Trialing (blue) — you're inside a free trial period.
- Past due / Unpaid (amber/red) — a payment didn't go through; the subscription needs attention before it lapses.
- Paused / Incomplete (amber) — the subscription is on hold or the first payment hasn't completed yet.
- Canceled / Expired (red) — the subscription has ended.
Review the features and price
Below the name, the card lists the features included in your plan, each with a tick. Under that, the price is shown in your currency — for example a monthly or yearly amount, and "per seat" where a plan charges by the number of members. WAQAF formats the amount for your locale, so an Omani organisation sees Omani rials.
Why a feature might say "not enough" elsewhere but the plan looks fine here. This page is about your subscription to WAQAF itself, not your organisation's money. Finance balances (what's available in a fund or category) live in the Finance area and are shown only to finance roles — they're unrelated to your billing plan.
Open the billing portal
To update card details, download invoices, or change how the subscription renews, you open the secure billing portal hosted by the payment provider. WAQAF doesn't store your card details itself.
Select Manage billing
On the Your plan card, select the Manage billing button (it carries a card icon). This appears only when there's an active subscription to manage.
Continue in the provider's portal
WAQAF hands you to the payment provider's own billing portal in the same window. There you can update payment details, view past invoices, and manage renewal. When you're done, the portal returns you to the Billing page. If the portal can't be opened, you'll see a brief error — wait a moment and try again.
Only an owner can open the billing portal. Opening the portal manages real payment details, so the server allows it only for the organisation owner — even an admin who can see the Billing page may not be able to open the portal. If Manage billing does nothing or returns an error for you, the organisation owner needs to do it. This is a deliberate safeguard, not a fault.
Change or start a plan
The Change your plan section underneath shows the plans you could move to. Picking one takes you to a secure checkout. Changing your plan is covered in its own article, since it affects what your organisation is charged.
To switch plans, see Changing your plan. To understand which WAQAF features each plan unlocks, see Features & entitlements.
