Editing your pages

Fill in the standard pages of your website — Home, About, Contact, and Governance — using the bilingual English and Arabic content forms, then save your changes.

Your website comes with a set of standard pages, each with its own editor. This guide covers the four core pages — Home, About, Contact, and Governance — which all work the same way: a single form, broken into sections, where you type the words your visitors will read. You'd come here whenever you want to change what one of these pages says.

Every page on your site is bilingual: each text field has an English box and an Arabic box, side by side, and you fill in both. That is how the same page can serve both your English-reading and your Arabic-reading visitors without you maintaining two separate websites.

Who can do this. You need a website role that grants update — the Site Editor or Site Manager (an owner or admin can do it too). With the Site Viewer role you can open the forms and read them, but every field is greyed out and there is no Save button. If you can't edit, your role doesn't allow it; see Members & roles.

Where to find it. Open Website from the dashboard, then go to the page you want: Website → Home opens the Home (page content) editor, and the About, Contact, and Governance editors open the same way.

How the bilingual fields work

Almost every box on these forms is a bilingual field: one label, with two inputs beneath it — English on one side and العربية (Arabic) on the other. You type the English wording in the English box and the matching Arabic wording in the Arabic box. The Arabic box reads and types right-to-left automatically, so you can write naturally in either language.

Fill in both languages for every field you use. A page can only go live once its content is complete in English and Arabic — if you leave one side blank, the page stays a draft and can't be published. See Publishing & preview.

Longer fields (such as a mission statement or an FAQ answer) give you a larger box for paragraphs; short fields (such as a headline or a button label) give you a single line. Either way, the English-and-Arabic pairing is the same.

The four core pages

Each editor groups its fields into collapsible sections — click a section heading to open or close it. You only need to fill in the sections you want to use; empty optional sections simply don't appear on the live page.

Edit and save a page

The steps below use the Home editor as the example, but the About, Contact, and Governance editors work in exactly the same way — only the sections differ.

Open the page editor

From the dashboard open Website, then choose the page you want to edit. The Home editor is titled Page content; About, Contact, and Governance each open under their own heading. The form loads with whatever you've saved before already filled in.

Open the section you want to change

The form is divided into sections — on the Home page, for example, Hero, Banner carousel, Hero stats, Quick-donate widget, and Trust pillars. Click a section heading to expand it. The first section is open by default.

Type your wording in both languages

For each field, type the English wording in the English box and the Arabic wording in the العربية box. Work through the fields you want to use — you can leave optional ones blank.

Some sections let you build a list — extra statistics, banners, trust pillars, FAQ questions, or governance documents. Use the Add button (for example Add stat or Add document) to create a new item, fill in its bilingual fields, and use the small bin icon to remove one you no longer want.

Add images where the section allows

Some fields take a picture rather than text — a banner image, an About hero banner, or a governance document image. Use the upload control in that field to choose an image from your computer. Images are optional unless the section needs one to make sense.

Save your changes

Scroll to the bottom and select Save (the button reads Save content on the Home page, Save about page on About, and so on). A short confirmation appears once your changes are stored.

Saving is not the same as publishing

This is the most important thing to understand about editing pages:

Saving stores your draft. It does not put your changes online. When you select Save, your wording is kept safely — but your public website doesn't change until the site (and that page) is published. So you can edit and save as often as you like without any visitor seeing a half-finished page.

When you're happy with a page, you publish it from the Website overview: the whole site has a publish switch, and each page has its own Visible / Hidden toggle. A page appears to the public only when both the site is published and that page is set to visible. The full flow — including how to preview a page before it goes live — is covered in Publishing & preview.

You don't have to finish a page in one sitting. Save as you go; your draft is always there when you come back. Nothing you save is shown to the public until you choose to publish.
