Your profile
Edit your own name, avatar, Arabic name, and interface language in Account settings.
Your profile is the small set of personal details WAQAF keeps about you: the name and avatar your colleagues see, the Arabic spelling of your name, and the language you read the dashboard in. You'd update it when you join, when your name should appear differently on printed documents, or simply to set a picture. Everything here is about your own account — it doesn't change anything for anyone else in your organisation.
Who can do this. Anyone signed in can edit their own profile — there is no role requirement, because this is a personal account setting, not an organisation one. The roles in Members & roles govern what you can do inside an organisation's finance, donors, and website; they don't gate your own name, avatar, or language.
Where to find it. Open Account settings → Account (reach it from your account menu — select your name or avatar at the bottom of the sidebar, or in the top corner on a narrow screen). The page is titled Account settings and lists each thing you can change as its own block.
Change your avatar
Your avatar is the round picture that stands in for you across the dashboard. Setting one makes it easier for colleagues to recognise your activity.
Open the avatar block
At the top of Account settings is the Your avatar block, showing your current picture (or your initials if you haven't set one).
Select the picture and choose a file
Select the round avatar to open your computer's file picker, then choose an image. WAQAF accepts common formats — PNG, JPEG, WebP, GIF, AVIF, BMP, and HEIC (the default iPhone format), which it converts for you automatically.
Crop and confirm
A cropping dialog opens so you can frame the picture. Adjust it, then confirm. WAQAF uploads the cropped image and shows Avatar was updated successfully when it's done — your new picture appears straight away, with no separate Save step.
Change your name
Your name is the English (Latin-script) name shown beside your activity and used on printed documents. It needs at least three characters.
Find the Your name block
Scroll to the Your name block. The first field holds your name, written left-to-right.
Edit your name and save
Type your name, then select Save. The button stays disabled until the field is valid and you've actually changed something, so you can't save an accidental no-op. You'll see Name was updated successfully when it's saved.
Add your name in Arabic
The same block has a second field, Name in Arabic, written right-to-left. This is optional, but it matters more than it looks: WAQAF prints bilingual signatory lines on documents such as payment vouchers and reports, and your Arabic name is what appears on the Arabic side of your signature line. If you may ever be a designated signatory (for example a Finance Manager or CEO), filling this in keeps Arabic prints reading naturally.
Enter your Arabic name
In the Name in Arabic field, type your name in Arabic script. The field reads right-to-left, so it behaves naturally as you type.
Save
Select Save for the block. Both your name and your Arabic name are saved together, and you'll see the same Name was updated successfully confirmation.
Where your Arabic name shows up. When you're set as a document signatory, the signature block on a printed voucher or report shows your role label, then your name — the Arabic version on Arabic prints and the English version on English ones. If your Arabic name is blank, the Arabic print falls back to whatever name it has. See Bilingual printing for how each print picks its language.
Set your interface language
Your language preference controls whether you read the dashboard in English or Arabic.
Open the Your language block
Find the Your language block. It holds a dropdown listing English and العربية (Arabic).
Pick a language
Select a language from the dropdown. WAQAF applies it immediately — there's no Save button here — and reloads the dashboard in your choice. Choosing Arabic also flips the whole layout to right-to-left. You'll see Language was updated successfully.
The same choice lives in your account menu. You can switch language straight from the account menu's EN / ع toggle without opening settings; the two stay in sync. For the full picture — including what does and doesn't get translated — see Switching language.
Email, password, and sign-in security live elsewhere. Your email address, password, passkeys, two-factor authentication, and account deletion appear lower on the same Account settings page, but they're covered separately. See Password, passkeys & two-factor.
